it's been a week of adjusting to a new normality, getting used to a beautiful band of gold on the left hand, 2nd finger from the left :-)

back to fbi and it's all good -- getting back off holiday was painful, but it was reassuring to get back to a place where i actually enjoy my work, where i feel motivated and supported and also feel free to express myself. i'm coming off like an NLP support group, i know, but it's all fortunately true.

finally caught 28 days later this week - worth a visit for sure, not what was expected, not your standard zombie b-movie fare. for that, you need to see the new aussie outback zombie movie, undead. freakin' hilarious.

couple of great music purchases this week - alias from the anticon stable, 'eyes closed' ++ arab strap's 'shy retirer' ep with cover versions of sc/dc's 'you shook me all night long' and van halen's 'why can't this be love?' ++ the first tujiko noriko album on mego, stunning (yet again).

this week we had the 'arias' - the australian grammys / brits and it was an all-out sympathy hug for delta goodrem. hey, you've got to feel sorry for the poor gal, hodgkinson's disease is a shit call - but the way the press have been treating her you'd think she was new mother theresa, and that she'd been suddenly granted magical powers to heal vast colonies of lepers just be belting out a few bars of 'born to try'. let's have some freakin' perspective, purrrlease.

and then everything changed...

words are unfortunately not going to do much in the way of justice for what was an incredible day ::: marrying the woman i love, the beautiful robyn, surrounded by family and friends on the banks of sydney harbour. needless to say, a whole album worth of photos will be making their way onto the site in due course :-)

it's been a weird week, people have started to arrive for the wedding. fantastically odd to see friends and family from the uk in situ in sydney. tonight is the stag / buck's night which will hopefully be a non-traditional stag affair. one can but hope :::
