aye well, it's goodbye to all that ::: it's
my last day in the uk, off to tokyo tomorrow, and then
off to sydney to enjoy the forty degree heat - factor
sixty is locked and loaded.
the last six years in london have expanded my mind in
a wide variety of trajectories - some healthy, others
not-so-healthy, but all worthwhile. all part of the
ride. lest i forget : simon + helen from the OLP days;
phil + cameron, one time of 'the stage'; the family
of psychos from 24:7; the mighty-good people of the
royal court (emily, helen, neil, giselle, ola, aoife,
clare, vikki, penny, simon); mark + lewis from tangerine;
the mccabes escapees (esp. elaine + clare); tyler nugent
(always there when the world needs him); the AAA and
space 1999 crew; all the ex-pat glasgow team (alan,
karen, stephen, jenny, adrian); scooby-doo mark; andy
smith; julie bacon; roddy hunter; the span2 people;
all @ midnight to six; pauline; sass; dom + sarah and
my dear chief buddy ken. and a shout of course to those
that already made it out: to vic and lisa, non-weegie
types on an international mission.
and the highlight? it will always and forever be meeting
the other half of my brain ::: my beautiful future wife,
rob.
see you on the other side
::: so it goes xx

and finally the world catches up. the association
of autonomous astronuats quite rightly once explained
that 'space is the place'. now NASA
have performed a u-turn and are announcing their plans
to take the paying public into space. naturally, they'd
do well to heed the words of the
foundation for art in zero-g.

the
much sought-after (by me at least) original soundtrack
to the klf's rarely seen 'white room' movie has
turned up on this german fan site.
the album, featuring early versions of
the singles and a few unreleased tracks, has been
'remastered' and the mp3 quality is excellent.
more cheesy italian piano house than transcentral's
transcendental techno, but an intersting cultural
artefact nonetheless. (bill drummond's spoken-word
version of 'born free' is a particular highlight...)

a
new site for the new year :: welcome
to zero-g.03
an overview of what's new ::
the audio section is all new, and celebrates the release
of the first album on the new zerogaudio label. the
album is a sampler compilation entitled MUSIC FOR DOGS
and will be made available free in the near future.
the hesitency to say 'come and get them now' is entirely
due to the fact that i'm emigrating across the other
side of the world, all the way to sydney
where i'm assured that there's no snow at this time
of year... so once there's a house under my feet, distribution
will bea little easier.
also new is the primer section which will take some
time to build, but will ultimately feature background
notes on the people, philosophies and movements that
have sparked my interest over the years. it's largely
a way to retain knowledge and not to to watch it fade
away as my body consumes more alcohol and dope. i'd
be delighted to receive links, ideas, even full entries
for the primer from anyone wishing to contribute.
web section is largely as was, but i'd obviously like
to point out the softish launch of the latest site from
the house of zero-g, namely the new site for mute records'
goldfrapp
[built by a team including lady mrs b - robyn scherf,
steve claydon (add n to x), neil chapman and alison
goldfrapp herself].
works features all the historification you could ever
want (not that you knew you wanted it in the first place),
with more archive additions due over the next couple
of weeks.
so it goes _
