i'm totally exhausted and have the hangover from
hell... one should remember not to mix moet and
tooheys new in rapid succession, back and forth,
back and forth // so, yes, the launch of fbi
went outrageously well. at 11am there were no
fuckers there, by midday - as the poppers went
pop - there was no room to swing the proverbial
kitty, rammed to the rafters we were. kicked off
with a newly recorded fbi version of 'turn up
yr radio' by the masters apprentices featuring
the talents of sarah blasko, spod, front end loader,
tony baggsmen, micheal upshot and dave mccormack
- a fine rockin' party tune with a suitably sexxxie
rrrrrrespectfull breakdown from the spod boy.
ben lee did a rousing anti-corporate speech then
tucked into the studio for a wee duet with juanita
from waikiki (below) //

so the world wuz rocked after all and now fbi's
live on air 24-7 across sydney on 94.5FM. just
need to get the bastarding streaming sorted out
and we'll be well away +++ big rrrrespect to my
good lady wife-to-be who celebrated the occasion
by baking a dalek cake. photos to follow :-)
here's a couple of tasty bootlegs to
download, courtesy of PPM // his beatles bootleg
is particularly fine (essentially a rmx of a day
in the life), plus check out 'hell nations' -
a delicious little mash-up feat. white stripes
vs madison avenue (much better than it sounds).

to say about this morning's fbi

i think we're good to go-go - viva eff bee aye!!

it all happened so fast, such a heady
blur ::: but here's the documentary evidence from
an interview session earlier today. yup, me and
blondie, uh-huh, stu + debbie
harry... yup, it was a gas.

200803 06:58
to quote an old 'young ones' gag - "so
what's new?" ... "well, microchip technology,
that's new." yes, yes, yes +++ here's
the latest application for such technology. hidden
chips inside yr favourite supermarket products
that help CCTV to snap yr picture as you buy ...
and then track your movements throughout the store.
anti-theft device, or a convenient way to find
out exactly who buys what and how? more here from
the
evening standard and indymedia
uk.
devo get with mr muscle ::: those hallowed
art rockers from yesteryear have sold their track
'whip it' to none other than proctor & gamble
to use in their ad campaign for 'swiffer' cleaning
product. got it? "swiff it good" etc
etc ... more.

it seems the poor bleeting sheep passing
themselves of as 'talented individuals' on australian
idol are in for a rum deal if they manage
to secure the top slot - a
six figure debt for life. awww, shame... this
new aus version of the tried and tested brit formula
is even more mawkish and more repulsive than the
original - startlingly surprising as simon
cowell isn't even it. pray
for the death of the franchise before this bohemoth
of bland kills all that is glorious about the
three minute pop song. grrr arrrg.
as a counter motion to such things, i've
added some new artists in the mp3
linxxx section ::: hands aloft for action
biker (sweden), mellmac
(france), noriko tujiko (japan)
& spilsbury (germany). that's
right bruvvers.

we had the broadcasters' launch @ fbi
last night. click here
for some partyish imgs ::: eff bee, aye.

paul aka 'satan luvs u' has an uncanny
knack of sending me heaps of viral shit via email,
most of which involve "hilarious"
ribald tales of scotsman, dogs and vibrators shaped
like iMacs. here's today's meme, the old 'virtual
bubblewrap' gag - hugely satisfying i have
to say.
but to play fair and to show that satanluvsu is
not the only culprit, here's three imgs circulated
from matt, yesterday - all of which you'll probably
receive a dozen times, but are still charming
nonetheless :-)

"2 generations of white trash"

"sith army knife"

"another lame star wars gag"
nurse, the screeeeeeenzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!

snoop's upside your head // had the misfortune
to catch snoop doggy dogg's mtv show the other
day - boy, did that suck. the doggfather is way
off his game. not that he was generally ever on
it ::: was ploughing through 'best of death row
records vol.2' last week (office copy, natch)
and was horrified to discover just how much tupac,
snoop et al really sucked. compare their kind
of tunes with what's happening now and it sounds
so lame. compare tupac with someone like dizzie
rascal (a damn fine album) and, man, you know
someone's gonna get slapped down hard. anyway,
enough of this bitch talk, here's some hilarious
allegations about the doggboy himself ::: thesmokinggun.com

so
we've moved house, away from the stupefying normality
of balmain to the relatively more interesting
locale known as erskineville (or 'erko' to the
neighbours, apparently). i'm absolutely aware
of the fact that all of this will mean relatively
little to anyone reading this, but hey you've
got to share yr news, spread yr love, la la la.
work continues apace at fbi
94.5fm, my wonderful, gorgeous employer and
sydney's newest, raddest, spectacular radio station.
three weeks until we're on air (friday 29th august,
noon, aus eastern time!). still no streaming sorted
out but hopefully sooner rather than later.
on the ipod dis week ::: prince paul's 'politics
of the business', various alt.hip-hop dudes 'urban
renewal program', quannum 'solesides greatest
bumps' and some german band called kraftwerk with
their latest elpee 'tour de france soundtracks'.
my how my world wuz rocked.
and
uk hipsters who own phones with polyphonic ringtones
might be cookahoop to learn that we've added 'train'
and 'strict machines' ringtones to the goldfrapp
site. even if you don't have such a futurist item,
check out the preview mp3s - hilarious...
