it's been a while since the last blog entry (on this site anyway, i've been keeping the faith, fair and square, on fat planet...). so what's been happening? well, the main reason for the slackness 'n' sickness is the fbi's first birthday. i've been working my scottish ass off for the last few weeks in a marathon print + web + merchandise project getting the whole shebang up and running. the fruits of the labour started paying off this week, particularly today when my little baby (aka fbi's first magazine) came back from the printers, all shiny and new. made me very proud indeed :-) the fun begins on earnest this friday (27th) with a huge supporter drive. if you're in sydney and you listen to the station, then please help us out by becoming a supporter. $6 a month isn't a great deal to pay for independent radio, and by dipping your hand in yer wallet, you ensure our longevity and ensure that you new, innovative music (both local and international) gets a fair hearing in the city of sin. click here for many more reasons to support, including $30,000 worth of prizes...

what else has been occuring? myself and my fbi comrade dan zilber have landed a new radio show through the community radio association of australia. it's broadcast from comradsat, their satellite network, and can be picked up right across australia from various stations who opt into receive it. we're in very good company on comradsat, one of our kin being coldcut's solid steel show. more info to follow in the next few weeks, we're on air beginning of october. but for a tiny preview, here's our logo :-)

we have (and by we, i mean robyn) just designed a microsite for the new goldfrapp dvd, 'wonderful electric'. there's a some video previews, e-cards and downloadbale postcards to be had. we're also working on a german version of the gronland site (which is an odd project, to be sure). i also managed to get my name into the sydney morning herald, droning on about fbi (again)

other shit: here's a little piece from iain on how commerce has totally infiltrated culture in japan - a company's theme song climbs to the top of the charts... fbi comrade dan ilic is in athens for the games, and has his own 'behind the scenes' weblog - check out this photo gallery for the oddly titled media room. i also got to see hellboy, and screw everyone else, i thought it was damn fine. mignola and del torro have pulled it off!
