THEE DATA BASE (92 - 97)
Occulture & activism
magazine; seven issues + web site
Edited by Alan Benzie
& Stuart Buchanan
from press release (94):
"thee data base
is stuffed to the gills with news,
features and ideas that serve to show
that the reader does not have to accept
all that SHe is shown. conspiracies,
pranks, injustices, alternative technologies,
new religions, virtual reality, literature,
drugs and a good helping of mouthing
off at the government is the nub of
our gist. it is a magazine that hitches
a ride with the 'counter culture',
the 'anti-society' that exists on
a global scale. it accepts none of
society's conditioning and believes
unequivocably in the freedom of information,
freedom of expression and, ultimately,
the freedom of the individual. we
look to the works of burroughs, leary
and anton wilson for inspiration,
but will continue onwards, inviting
articles and opinions from like-minded
souls, striving towards an international
network of positive thinking individuals.
this process is aided by the fact
that thee data base
is available free of charge. join
the network, spread the word, and
reserve the right to change your mind
at any time."
