bio (yr 2000) >>

CRACKER FARMBOY was born in the winter of 1999, a few weeks before the end of the century and the implosion of capitalist dream. It is a fusion of new musical sounds that symbolises the continued struggle for existence of a utopian ideology in the dark soup of western cultural imperialism. The music of CRACKER FARMBOY is a body blow against the global super powers.

The various elements of the project came together when BEN KENOBI, lead singer of art-rock garage band SPUTN*K 17, saw famed hip-hop producer MARK QUESTION dj-ing at the legendary ANGST club in Belgrade. He suggested that they work together and, shortly thereafter, they found themselves in the studio creating the punk-hip-hop-drumnbass-post-rock that came to be known as CRACKER FARMBOY.

Following a short run of gigs (including a spellbinding performance at P'TANG), CRACKER FARMBOY were signed to the F FOR EFFORT label by SIMONE FURST, publisher of Croatia's ZYX magazine. The e.p REPETITIVE MUPPET was released in March 2000 and was later picked up for international distribution by Brighton's ZERO-G AUDIO.

The album HISTORY WILL BE OUR JUDGE is now finally available featuring ten tracks with a total running time across the album of just over 10 minutes. It includes tracks from the MUPPET ep, a new vocal version of CONDUIT TO RETAIL and the new single PM COMPLIANT (currently banned ifrom airplay in Equador due to explicit content).
