(<strong>k-fed<\/strong> being kevin feder-whatever, <strong>britney<\/strong>&#8216;s now ex-husband &#8211; and <strong>disco d<\/strong> being the man who produced a baile funk track for him.  the world is twisted for sure&#8230;). the word &#8216;redemption&#8217; floats into mind though, not only for <strong>disco d<\/strong>&#8216;s excellent productions &#8216;fuck me on the dancefloor&#8217; and &#8216;let&#8217;s hug it out bitch&#8217;, but also for his new work with brazilian band <strong>braza<\/strong>.<br \/>\ndescribed by <strong>disco d<\/strong> as &#8220;3 brasileros and a gringo loco&#8221;, <strong>braza<\/strong> drop two tracks on the <strong>disco d<\/strong> <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.discod.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">web site<\/a>.  &#8216;son do braza&#8217; adopts a baile funk rhythm with <strong>braza<\/strong> rapping in english instead of the customary portuguese &#8211; this in itself is an interesting touch. <strong>braza<\/strong> aside, it seems baile funk is breaking out of the favelas, and is starting to be adopted as the pet sounds of some of america&#8217;s sweethearts.  i&#8217;ve yet to hear it, but i believe there&#8217;s a <strong>kelly osbourne<\/strong> baile funk remix out there.  lock up your ears.<br \/>\nthe 2nd track, &#8216;welcome to brasil&#8217;, is straight-up hip hop, dropping some gat samples and some acoustic guitar; not ground-breaking but good to hear trad. u.s. hip hop refracted through the brazilian lens.<br \/>\n<strong>mp3:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discod.com\/braza\/sondobrazadirty.mp3\">braza &#8216;son do braza (feat. aori &#038; mr shock)&#8217;<\/a><br \/>\n<strong>mp3:<\/strong> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.discod.com\/braza\/welcometobrasildirty.mp3\">braza &#8216;welcome to brasil&#8217;<\/a><br \/>\nthere&#8217;s also a movie of <strong>braza<\/strong> recording in <strong>disco d<\/strong>&#8216;s studio.  this also appears to be a good excuse for d to show off his smart new tattoo (also see above pic, centre).<br \/>\n<strong>mov: <\/strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.discod.com\/cabal\/welcometobrasilweb.mov\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">braza in the studio<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>i&#8217;d like to meet disco d and just ask him about the whole k-fed deal.
