\nghislain poirer<\/strong>‘s 2005 album ‘breakupdown’ (chocolate industries<\/a>) was an outstanding release. having previously collaborated with the likes of dj rupture<\/strong> and lotek hifi<\/strong>, it’s no surprise that the album weighed in with heavy beats, bass-heavy distorted electronica, ragga and hip hop. such mad dirty fun from start to finish – proving that ghis deserves far wider recognition. hot off the back of his recent lady sovereign<\/strong> remix (‘fiddle with the volume’) comes ‘bounce le remix’; a collection of 13 new mixes, all featuring original beats by ghislain, over MCs such as roots manuva<\/strong>, dizzee rascal<\/strong>, ying yang twins<\/strong> and (above) busta rhymes<\/strong>. you can order the cd online through two montreal stores: atom heart<\/a> and cheap thrills<\/a>.
