Dizz1<\/strong> has been a player in the Australian music scene for a long while, as turntablist, promoter, producer, drummer and teacher. He’s been part of known Australian hip hop \/ beats projects such as db Chills, Wicked Beat Sound System, Nubreed, The Shook Daily Crew, Budspells<\/strong> and The Lordz of the Fly<\/strong>, and more recently has stacked up an impressive list of new creative partnerships: Mark Pritchard, Steve Spacek, Bobby Singh<\/strong> and Om\u2019Mas Keith (SA-RA Creative Partners<\/strong>), all of which will be dropping releases in the coming twelve months. And lest we forget the not-so-insignifcant matter of Dizz1’s signing to Stereotyp<\/strong>‘s Crunchtime Records<\/a> as ‘Mugsy’.<\/p>\n More immediately is a world tour with DJ Dexter <\/strong>(formerly of The Avalanches<\/strong>) under the name “Curse The Machines” – citing artists such as Flying Lotus, Caspa, Hudson Mohawke and Harmonic 313<\/strong> as kindred spirits, the Curse project “blends world music with Bass music” and hits Europe and the U.S. in the coming months.
