{"id":248,"date":"2006-09-12T21:03:16","date_gmt":"2006-09-12T10:03:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fatplanet.com.au\/blog\/2006\/09\/12\/fat-shorts-wasting-time-on-music-promo-games\/"},"modified":"2021-01-31T05:13:52","modified_gmt":"2021-01-31T05:13:52","slug":"fat-shorts-wasting-time-on-music-promo-games","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stuartbuchanan.com\/archives\/2006\/09\/12\/fat-shorts-wasting-time-on-music-promo-games\/","title":{"rendered":"FAT SHORTS: WASTING TIME ON MUSIC PROMO GAMES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"350\" height=\"280\" border=\"1\" alt=\"knifegame\" id=\"image249\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fatplanet.com.au\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/09\/knifegame.gif\" \/><br \/>\ni can&#8217;t remember at which point online games became such an integral part of an artist&#8217;s music release schedule, but everyone seems to be at it.  only yesterday i had the misfortune to ruin three minutes of my life on <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/artists.emidigitalmedia.com\/chingy\/texasholdem\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">chingy&#8217;s online poker game<\/a> (i know, the signs were all there&#8230;).<br \/>\n<strong>the knife<\/strong> have given us the decidedly odd <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.silentshout.co.uk\/videogame\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">scissors game<\/a>, used to promote &#8216;we share our mothers health&#8217;.  maybe it&#8217;s a mac thing, but i cannot fathom this game at all.  even when catching the tomatoes, i&#8217;m left for dead.  still, i adore the aesthetic (above) and could watch the promo video all day long.
