\nit’s always a sunny day when dj c<\/strong> rolls out another release on the outstanding mashit<\/a> label. you are of course encouraged to seek out the vinyl 12s, but all the tunes you’ll find in their catalouge are also available as free mp3 downloads. last year’s ‘crazy baldheads’ release has been a staple in my sets of late – a hard,lowtempo two-step track with a blinding breakcore middle 8. and lest we forget the sensational breakcore re-rub of ‘billie jean’, entitled ‘billy jungle’ – re-released by london’s scandal bag<\/a> last year, and still available through boomkat<\/a>.
\nthis week’s new release is a dub re-version of a track that jamaica’s wayne lonesome<\/strong> originally dropped with soundmurderer<\/strong> back in 2004 (on shockout<\/a>). c’s trademark cut-up ragga breaks open the track, and just as you’re feeling the familiar good vibes, in springs the banjo and a hard 4-4 – and you can throw your arms up in submisson right there and then.
