[<a href=\"http:\/\/feistmusic.artistes.universalmusic.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">site<\/a>]<br \/>\n<strong>ADEM<\/strong>\u00a0[ENGLAND]<br \/>\n<strong>everything you need<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dominorecordco.com\/resources\/mp3s\/02-Everything_You_Need.mp3\">mp3<\/a><br \/>\nsome acoustica for you (which makes a diverting change from the predominantly electro-focus of the blog&#8230;) &#8211; courtesy of the bass player from the group\u00a0<strong>fridge<\/strong>. if you haven&#8217;t heard of\u00a0<strong>fridge<\/strong>, then you&#8217;ll have certainly have heard of\u00a0<strong>four tet<\/strong>\u00a0aka keiren hebden, also a founding member of\u00a0<strong>fridge<\/strong>. however,\u00a0<strong>adem<\/strong>\u00a0departs from the experimentation of\u00a0<strong>fridge<\/strong>\u00a0to go for a straight forward folk approach, with some beautiful results. the above mp3 is taken from\u00a0<strong>adem<\/strong>&#8216;s recent debut album &#8216;homesongs&#8217;. the track from today&#8217;s show &#8216;let me give you a reason&#8217; is taken from the promo of the single &#8216;ringing in my ear&#8217;, which according to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dominorecordco.com\/catalogue.php?release=529\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">domino web site<\/a>\u00a0is not included in the commercial release.<br \/>\n<strong>BANG GANG\u00a0<\/strong>[ICELAND]<strong><br \/>\ninside (acoustic demo version)\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.banggang.net\/audio\/inside-acclive-demovers.mp3\">mp3<\/a><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>a return visit to fat planet for these guys, originally featured back in june. played a more rockin&#8217; track today than this acoustic track, and strangely from a promo album of &#8216;pop and rock made in france&#8217; &#8211; so i can only assume they&#8217;re de-camped from the freezing cold to the land of fine wine and great pastries. smart move. [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mmedia.is\/banggang\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">site<\/a>]<br \/>\n<strong>KIIIIII!<\/strong>\u00a0[JAPAN] (pictured)<br \/>\n<strong>brown girl in the ring<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.texte.co.jp\/browngirl.mp3\">mp3<\/a><br \/>\ngot to make sure i&#8217;ve got the right amount of exclamation marks on there&#8230; and how do we pronounce the name of the band? no idea. all i can tell you is that appear to be two very mad girls from japan making that insane blend of experimental psychedlic pop-rock that japan does so well. this is a cover of a song that i also remember be covered by the glitter-tastic\u00a0<strong>boney m<\/strong>\u00a0back in the 70s and it clocks in at just under two minutes &#8211; and half of that is a drum solo. these girls are touched by genius.<br \/>\n<strong>MUI<\/strong>\u00a0[ITALY]<br \/>\n<strong>t-10<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"ftp:\/\/ftp.scene.org\/pub\/music\/groups\/starving_but_happy\/sbh-lp004\/03_mui-t_10.mp3\">mp3<br \/>\n<\/a>finally today, i&#8217;ve got to give a huge vote of support to the outstanding &#8216;starving but happy&#8217; site, chiefly for the amazing compilation from keplar records that&#8217;s free to download from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/sbh.gs.b34tz.net\/www\/pages\/album.php?id_album=26\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">their site<\/a>. the album consists of top quality downtempo electronica and post-rock from germany, italy, hungary (of all places!) and more. i strongly recommend you take time out to own this free compilation, even if you&#8217;re not on broadband \ud83d\ude42 for more info on all the artists on the compilaiton, check out the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.keplar.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">keplar site<\/a>. the above track from the italians\u00a0<strong>mui<\/strong>\u00a0is a beautiful fresh cut of both post-rock\u00a0<em>and<\/em>\u00a0electronica &#8211; all in one bite. and by god it tastes good&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>we&#8217;re going for a more pared back, less electronic post today. if you download one tune from this post, don&#8217;t look past the japanese. it&#8217;s a joy to behold.
