not including compilations, there were 13 albums (11 of which fell in a 10 year period) and the first four have just been re-issued through\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mute.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">mute records<\/a>. it&#8217;s true to say that genres such as post-rock would not be what they are today without\u00a0<strong>can<\/strong>. their mastery of multiple forms of music, from rock to jazz to classical, may well be something that&#8217;s expected of many musicians today, but back in the late 60s, it was almost a sacrilege. links worth visting: official\u00a0<strong>can<\/strong>\u00a0site &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.spoonrecords.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">spoon records<\/a>,\u00a0<strong>holger czukay<\/strong>&#8216;s\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.perfectsoundforever.com\/v\/2004094\/features\/59\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">personal history of can<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>mixmaster morris<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.southern.com\/MMM\/music\/krautrock\/artists\/can.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">on can<\/a>. a transcript from today&#8217;s interview may well be posted soon.<br \/>\n<strong>AIRBORN AUDIO\u00a0<\/strong>[US: NEW YORK]<strong><br \/>\nbright lights<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/downloads.ninjatune.net\/bright_lights.mp3\">mp3<\/a><br \/>\nformerly of\u00a0<strong>anti-pop consortium<\/strong>\u00a0(from whence\u00a0<strong>beans<\/strong>\u00a0also sprang),\u00a0<strong>airborn audio<\/strong>\u00a0is hip hop artists\u00a0<strong>high priest<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>m. sayyid<\/strong>. their debut album &#8216;good fortune&#8217; has been gestating for a couple of years and, given the added pressure of\u00a0<strong>beans<\/strong>&#8216; remarkable &#8216;shock city maverick&#8217; album, expectation is justifyably high. check out the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mind0.com\/archives\/2004\/09\/airborn_audio.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">mindzero site<\/a>\u00a0to download another track from the album (wma format).<br \/>\n<strong>MING<\/strong>\u00a0[BELGIUM]<br \/>\n<strong>sentir et analyser (barbara morgenstern rmx)<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.doxa.de\/sound\/MING1.mp3\">mp3<\/a><br \/>\n<strong>fredrique vs superpitcher<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.doxa.de\/sound\/MING3.mp3\">mp3<\/a><br \/>\nfollowing in the wake of the excellent styorfoam album, some more great music from belgium for you, albeit remixed by some of the smartest talent in germany today.\u00a0<strong>ming<\/strong>\u00a0(pic.left) are a m\/f duo fr\u00e9d\u00e9rique franke and nicolas deschuytenee, perpetuating the ever-growing canon of middle european electronic pop. their recent album &#8216;int\u00e9rieur\/ext\u00e9rieur&#8217; was given over to a squad of artists, whose own label loyalties read like a whos-who of the cutting edge of european music &#8211; diskoB, kompakt, monika, playhouse, kitty-yo to name but a few. the 2nd mp3 is described by ming&#8217;s label as &#8221; which saw artists such as\u00a0<strong>boards of canada<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>clouddead<\/strong>,<strong>\u00a0lali puna\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>four tet<\/strong>\u00a0getting on board to mix tracks from the &#8216;seed to sun&#8217; album. according to his label, lex records, the new ten-track album is due to drop in a matter of weeks (february &#8217;05) and features no samples and very few vocals. scissorkick has posted one of the only two vocal tracks, featuring\u00a0<strong>nina nastasia<\/strong>\u00a0(the other will feature gruff from\u00a0<strong>super furry animals<\/strong>) and you can download a 2nd track from the good folks at better propaganda.<br \/>\n<strong>TIEFSCHWARZ<\/strong>\u00a0[GERMANY]<br \/>\n<strong>acid soul\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.finerec.co.uk\/artists\/tiefschwarz\/mp3s\/acidsoul.mp3\">mp3<\/a><br \/>\nsomething a little more four-to-the-floor for you now &#8211; if you haven&#8217;t come across any of the extensive\u00a0<strong>tiefschwarz<\/strong>\u00a0remix catalogue, you might have been hiding under the wrong rock lately. the three-piece have recently put together a 2 disc set &#8216;misch masch&#8217;
