Having released an ongoing series of free compilations since July 2009, New Editions was an offshoot label from New Weird Australia that offering a parallel focus on albums and EPs from individual artists.
New Editions was designed to get a unique, design-rich, physical product into the hands of fans, as well as having an ‘afterlife’ as a digital release. Releases were available in two formats: a run of limited-edition CDs – housed in a gatefold card sleeve, with artwork insert by the artists – available from artist shows & New Weird Australia events; and a FLAC / MP3 digital release.
There were ten releases on the New Editions label – all are archived and available as free downloads from the New Weird Australia web site.
